ATLANTIC BUILDERS GROUP RECEIVES
AWARD OF MERIT FROM THE
ASSOCIATED BUILDERS & CONTRACTORS'
BALTIMORE CHAPTER
Associated
Builders and Contractors' Baltimore Chapter presented Atlantic
Builders Group of Baltimore, Maryland with a Merit Award in
its Excellence in Construction competition. The presentation
took place at ABC's 2006 Annual Awards of Excellence Dinner
on April 27, 2006.
Atlantic
Builders Group was recognized in the New Project - $2.5 Million
- $5 Million category for its work on the Capitol College
- William G. McGowan Academic Center in Laurel, Maryland.
The project involved the construction of a 29,000 SF two story
high-tech building on the 45 acre college campus. Sophisticated
computer laboratories, multi-media classrooms, cutting edge
academic programs in software and computer engineering and
the NASA Mission Control Room for the Space Operations Institute
are a few of the exciting opportunities this new building
brings to the students.
Each
year, Associated Builders and Contractors recognize the area's
outstanding projects. They are judged on budget, challenges,
complexity, creativity, positive community impact, project
management and references. The annual awards competition raises
the standards throughout the industry by recognizing the extraordinary
workmanship and superior project management of its general
contractor and subcontractor member firms.
